Deepening partnership cooperation between IHP and UZ

Distributed measurement systems and wireless sensor networks

On November 28, 2022, the opening of the laboratory located at the University of Zielona Góra took place, the creation of which is the result of the partnership agreement concluded in 2016 between IHP - Leibniz Institute for Innovative Electronics from Frankfurt (Oder) and the University of Zielona Góra (UZ) and then intensified as part of a joint undertaking under the name "Joint Lab IHP - UZ", the creation of which was confirmed by the contract of 2019.

Subject and objectives of the laboratory

The topics and goals of the laboratory being opened are closely related to the topics and goals of "Joint Lab IHP - UZ". It is assumed that the laboratory will be used to conduct joint scientific research and implement research and development projects in the field of the broadly understood subject of measurement systems, including, among others, issues in the area of wireless sensor networks, the Internet of Things, data processing in the middle layer and others. It should be added that the mentioned research topic coincides with the research area of the project "SmartRiver: Intelligentes Odergebiet / SmartRiver: Intelligent Nadodrze", currently being implemented by both partners as part of the COOPERATION PROGRAM INTERREG VA BRANDENBURGIA - POLAND 2014 - 2020 (BB-PL INTERREG VA 2014-2020), and from whose funds the equipment of the laboratory was partially financed. In addition, it is also planned to carry out joint educational activities (classes, master's and engineer's diploma theses).
