The Joint Lab IHP-UZ project, titled "Distributed Measurement Systems and Wireless Sensor Networks," is a joint initiative between IHP – the Leibniz Institute for Innovative Microelectronics in Frankfurt (Oder) and the University of Zielona Góra. It was established under a bilateral agreement signed on July 2, 2019. This agreement was the result of intensively developed joint efforts carried out by both scientific institutions as part of a cooperation agreement concluded between IHP and UZ on February 22, 2016.
"Joint Labs" are an important form of collaboration between IHP and national and international universities, serving as a link between the academic environment and industry. These Joint Labs are created by IHP in partnership with universities and technical higher education institutions from the Berlin-Brandenburg region as well as international academic institutions.
The Joint Lab IHP-UZ combines the expertise and cross-border resources of both scientific institutions, forming the foundation for joint research and educational activities in the broad field of measurement systems and wireless sensor networks.
